Behavior Consultant and Instructor

Anna offers behavior consultations. You can meet her as an instructor at the Dyrefag education program and as a speaker at various events. 

She is an ethologist, behavior consultant, Canis clicker instructor, Nosework instructor, and Training Advisor in NRH.

Anna has a master’s degree in ethology, during which she researched dog behavior, and is a certified behavior consultant from NMBU. Certified as a behavior consultant in 2018 by NAS, she is formally qualified to assess and treat behavioral issues in animals, as well as guide owners in treatment and training. The NAS certification in behavior consultation is based on international standards, and few have achieved this prestigious qualification in Norway.

With extensive knowledge and experience across breeds, Anna has a keen eye for detail. She ensures thorough assessments, active listening, and precise feedback. Her bachelor’s degree in pedagogy makes Anna particularly well-qualified to provide both owners and dogs with the training they need. Anna is a warm and skilled motivator who goes to great lengths to ensure that both two-legged and four-legged clients feel competent and can face challenges, regardless of experience and knowledge level. Deeply committed to lifelong learning, Anna stays professionally updated and active. In her spare time, she is tirelessly engaged in the training and education of search and rescue dogs. She has specialized expertise as a clicker trainer with extensive experience using positive training methods, including K9 nosework and specialized searches. She has also worked with animal-assisted therapy and training of diabetes detection dogs. 

Anna’s infectious and enthusiastic teaching ability makes her a highly sought-after professional and lecturer, including at NMBU’s education program for behavior consultants. With her warm pack-animal mentality and her steadfast belief in cooperation as the cornerstone of relationships between humans and animals, and among people, Anna has finally found the professional environment and camaraderie she has always desired through the Dyreatferdssenteret (Animal Behavior Center). 

Anna has personally had the following breeds: Rottweiler, Golden Retriever, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Alaskan Husky, and Chodsky Pes (Bohemian Shepherd).
